A Louisiana woman has been arrested and charged with manslaughter after the death of her young son last year.

According to WLOX, police apprehended Summer Buxton at a motel in Mississippi on Wednesday afternoon.

Buxton had been on the run since May 30, when her child, Keynan Buxton, was found dead with methamphetamine-fentanyl and acetyl fentanyl in his body, the news station reported.

Adrian Higgins, Keynan’s father, was arrested shortly after Keynan's death, and a second woman, Lezlie Mott, was arrested last month.

WLOX reported Wednesday that Buxton will be held at Hinds County Jail in Mississippi until she is extradited.

On Thursday, she was not listed as an inmate on the Hinds County website.

In an online obituary for Keynan, his grandparents remembered him as a "playful grandchild who loved his Hot Wheels and anything with tires that spun."

They added: "He loved going to the park and swinging, and when he could not play outside, he watched Cocomelon, his favorite character being the Star."

The grandparents mentioned that Kenyan's brother, AJ, is no longer alive and "welcomed [Kenyan] into Heaven."

Many reacted to the news of Kenyan's death in the comments section of the funeral page.

"Rest Easy, Sweet Baby!" one commenter said.

"Justice begins today, baby boy," another wrote on Wednesday.
