A popular Christmas caroling event in London was canceled after too many people showed up to belt their holiday cheer.

Local authorities reportedly canceled the event at Columbia Road Flower Market over safety concerns after thousands of people arrived thanks to an unknown TikToker who posted about the event on their page. Ten times the normal amount of people showed up to sing, crowding the streets and sparking concerns over citizens’ safety.

The caroling events have been held every Wednesday in December for the past decade. Residents were gravely disappointed after way too many citizens showed up.

"How is this event enjoyable?" one attendee wrote on social media, sharing images of crowds stretching as far as the eye could see, according to CBS News

Other users commented that the event was “everything but festive” as the restaurants and shops were inaccessible to patrons.

St. Peter's Bethnal Green, the church that runs the event, released a statement announcing the cancellation of the rest of the December gatherings.

"The crowds of over 7,000 present last week were of such volume on the road that there was a danger to public safety," the Rev. Heather Atkinson told the outlet. "We are grateful to God and to those working at the event that there were no serious injuries."
