Jason Billingsley Arrested at Train Station for Murder of Tech CEO Pava LaPere; Police Are Set to Release More Details
A man wanted in the killing of a Baltimore tech entrepreneur was been arrested 30 miles from where the victim's body was found, police said early Thursday.
They didn’t release any details of the circumstances surrounding the arrest of Jason Billingsley but planned a news conference for 11 a.m. ET to release more details.
WBFF-TV in Baltimore cited sources saying he was arrested at a train station in Bowie, about 30 miles south of the city.
26-year-old Pava LaPere's body was found at an apartment building Monday morning and had suffered "blunt force trauma," the department previously said.
Billingsley, 32, is also a suspect in a rape, attempted murder and arson that occurred Sept. 19 in Baltimore.
He is a suspect in another case involving a stolen gun, the Baltimore Sun reported.

“There is no way in hell this man should have been on the street,” Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott said at a Tuesday news conference.
Billingsley had been sentenced to 30 years in prison in 2015, with 16 years suspended, after he pleaded guilty to a first-degree sex offense.
The Maryland sex offender registry shows he was released from prison last October. He was classified as a tier 3 offender, which is the most serious.
Billingsley was previously arrested in 2013, 2011 and 2009 for "multiple charges" including a sex offense, second-degree assault charges and robbery.
A Forbes 30 Under 30 recipient, LaPere, 26, was the founder and CEO of EcoMap Technologies. She was described by her tech startup coworkers as a "visionary force."
"Her legacy will live on through the work we continue to do," EcoMap said in a statement.
