Israel’s ‘SNL’ Pillories Gen Z Pro-Palestinian College Protesters: ‘LGBTQH — Hamas!’
The 'Eretz Nehederet' sketch features a phone call with a Hamas fighter, who the two students call their 'BFF – bestie freedom fighter'
An Israeli comedy television show in the mold of "Saturday Night Live" mocked American college students' support for Palestine, with a sketch depicting two naïve students woefully misinterpreting messages from a Hamas fighter.
Aired on the show, "Eretz Nehederet," meaning "A Wonderful Country," the sketch features students at "Columbia Untisemity" speaking on a student news program where, as a student named Keley says, "Everyone is welcome: LGBTQH."
"H?" asks a fellow student, Wordle.
"Hamas!" Keley responds.
"Yeah I totally simp Hamas," Wordle says. "It's so trending right now."
The Hamas-Israel war has divided college campuses across the United States since soon after Hamas' Oct. 7 massacre left 1,400 Israelis dead last month and plunged the region into chaos. (The Hamas-controlled Health Ministry in Gaza reported Monday that more than 10,000 Palestinians had been killed in Israeli attacks in the weeks since.)

Students and professors have taken sides, staged protests, sparked controversy and, in some instances, allegedly turned violent over the tensions.
The divide has been especially stark at Columbia University in New York City.
Last month, a group of students released a statement supporting the Hamas attacks, calling them a "counter-offensive against their settler-colonial oppressor."
Meanwhile, Jewish students said last week they are facing a rise in antisemitic abuse, including verbal threats, physical attacks and swastikas drawn on school property.
In the "Eretz Nehederet," sketch, one of the students rejects the notion that they are antisemitic, quipping that he is "racist fluid."
The student news program also takes a call from a Hamas militant the students call their "BFF – bestie freedom fighter," who tells them, "Allah will kill you all, infidels."
Wordle tells the masked terrorist he loves his "headpiece," calling "the whole oppression chique, very drip."
When asked by the students if he is safe, the fighter tells them that he is, as he is in a tunnel under a hospital in Gaza and "above me I have Allah and 2 million civilians protecting me" – an apparent reference to Hamas' hiding tactics.
"Community is so important these days," the student, Keley, says.
When Wordle tells the terrorist he wishes he could be there, the fighter says he can travel to Gaza anytime "and we will throw you from the roof, you homosexual dirt."
"Did you hear? They want to throw me a rooftop party," Wordle tells Keley in excitement.
"They are so welcoming and inclusive," Keley adds.
The fighter goes on to assure the two students Hamas will visit them in America next, telling them, "It will be a blast."
"I won't even bother killing you," he tells them. "It's a waste of bullets."
Wordle replies: "Good vibes only!"
Last week, House lawmakers passed a resolution condemning antisemitism and the support of Hamas and the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah – both recognized as terrorist organizations by the U.S. State Department – on college campuses.
The vote followed a similar resolution passed by the Senate last month.
Rep. Burgess Owens, R-Utah, who heads the House Education and the Workforce’s subcommittee on higher education, said on the floor that "Hateful acts of antisemitism are spreading like wildfire across American college campuses."
Owens also called out protestors for chanting "Glory to our Martyrs," which was also seen projected on the wall of a library at George Washington University last month.
“These hate-filled college students have no shame and no fear,” Owens said. “Imagine the accountability they would face if they were chanting murder to the Blacks or murder the trans.”
