Inside Charlotte Sena's Kidnapping and Rescue: The Two-Day Ordeal - The Messenger
It's time to break the news. The Messenger's slogan

The search for Charlotte Sena has come to a happy ending in upstate New York, after more than 48 terrifying hours. The abducted 9-year-old was discovered by police, who say she was hidden in a camper by a 46-year-old man, who has been charged with kidnapping.

Police allege the man, who lived with his mother in the camper, is Charlotte's abductor, and that Sena was found in a cabinet in the trailer. Craig Ross Jr. was arrested after some resistance, police said, and suffered some minor injuries during his detainment.

At this point, all of the details surrounding Charlotte's ordeal have not been publicized, but the girl has been reunited with her family. Here's a quick look-back on how it started and how it ended.

Sept. 30, 6:15 p.m.: Charlotte goes for a solo bike ride around Loop A at the Moreau Lake State Park in Gansevoort, New York. She had been riding with friends but wanted to do a last lap on her own. The fourth-grader — on a weekend camping trip with friends and family — never returns.

Sept. 30, 6:45 p.m.: Her parents go searching for her in the 6,250-acre state park, discovering Charlotte's bike, abandoned, and she is reported missing to State Police.
