If You’re Traveling to France, See if You Can Visit One of These Baguette Vending Machines
So far, locals seem onboard with these 24/7 machines
France is known for its world-famous baguettes but typically, if you were craving some bread when shops weren't open, you were out of luck.
However, that has all changed, thanks to baguette vending machines that are popping up in towns across the country.
The 24/7 vending machines come from a company called maBaguette, which has allowed anyone craving a baguette to purchase one whenever they'd like.
As for the quality of the bread, a user on Reddit who claimed to try one of the machines out said that it is "actually quite good." The quality of the bread remains high because bakers will refill the machine "several times a day" and "it's the same bread as in the bakery."
French lifestyle writer Annette Charlton also gave a positive review of the vending machines on her website, saying that the "bread [is] usually as warm and fresh as bought in-store."
The vending machines seem to be most useful in small towns, which will sometimes only have one bakery. So when the shop is closed, people can still get a baguette.
