Hamas’ military wing on Monday released the name and a photo of a captive Israeli soldier they said had been killed in reprisal bombings after the militant movement’s stunning and deadly raid on Israel this weekend.

The Al-Qassam Brigades said earlier Monday that four of the estimated 130 hostages taken by Hams during the attack had been killed during Israeli strikes on Gaza.

One of those victims was identified by Hamas on Monday morning as Tomer Alon Nimrodi, 19, a native of the Kfar Sabah settlement on the West Bank.

In a post on Telegram the Al-Qassam Brigades identified Nimrodi as “one of the Zionist soldiers who was killed as a result of the Zionist bombing of the Gaza Strip.”

There was no immediate official response from Israel.

An accompanying photo and graphic shows the man identified as Nimrodi crouched indoors against a cinder block wall, with two other men cowering beside him.

Earlier on Monday, Hamas announced that four prisoners had been killed in bombing overnight and early Monday, local time.

"The occupation’s bombing tonight and today on the Gaza Strip led to the killing of four enemy prisoners and the martyrdom of their captors," a spokesman said on Telegram.

More than 500 Palestinians have been reported killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza following the weekend attack that left more than 800 people in Israel dead.
