Suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann allegedly followed a colleague onto a cruise ship and left her a creepy message.

Muriel Henriquez, who worked for Heuermann, discusses a haunting encounter with her boss on an upcoming "48 Hours" special.

Heuermann was arrested in July for the murder of three young women in Long Island, a decades-long cold case.

Henriquez said Heuermann once demanded to know where she was going on her 40th birthday cruise.

'I'm going to be in the middle of the ocean, and you’re not going to find me in the middle of the ocean," she recalls telling him. He replied, "Oh yes, I can."

On the second day of her cruise, she found a white envelope from Heuermann under her door.

“The note said, ‘I told you I could find you anywhere,'" she said.

Henriquez also noted that the accused killer was passionate about hunting and shooting.

Heuermann was arrested for the strangulation murder of Amber Lynn Costello, Megan Waterman, and Melissa Barthelemy after his DNA matched a sample found on one of the victims. Police found the DNA on a pizza box discarded by Heuermann, The Messenger previously reported.

Police in Las Vegas are now reviewing open cases to see if Heuermann has any connection to them. Heuermann owns a house in the city.
