Georgia Man, 86, Arrested for Alleged Possession of Child Pornography
Jerome Wellington Kline was only charged with one count of child sexual exploitation due to his advanced age
An 86-year-old Georgia man was arrested Friday for alleged possession of online child pornography, according to a local media report.
Jerome Wellington Kline was arrested after sheriff’s deputies in Coweta County, located in western Georgia, received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that someone was sending and receiving child pornography by email using Kline’s alleged IP address.
Deputies seized Kline’s computer and other electronic devices, according to a report by Fox 5 Atlanta, and investigators found that Kline allegedly sent and received multiple images of children online.
Kline has only been charged with one count of child sexual exploitation, which has a penalty of 10–20 years, according to Fox 5 Atlanta. The decision not to pursue multiple charges was based on Kline’s advanced age.
