On Aug. 25, Dakota Marie Adams of Tavares, Florida, was arrested for impersonating a student at Tavares High School, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

The 21-year-old faces charges of providing false information to law enforcement and trespassing on school property, as per an affidavit shared with Orlando's FOX35.

At around 11 a.m., police stated that a school resource officer was alerted to an adult on school grounds. When approached by the officer, Adams allegedly claimed to be a 19-year-old senior.

The woman also said she didn’t have her license on her, but authorities are alleged to have later found it in her wallet.

The affidavit stated, "Assistant Principal Bryan Glass was able to find footage from the campuses' security cameras showing Ms. Adams was indeed present on campus wearing the same clothes as now."

Following the incident, Adams was arrested and booked at the Lake County Detention Center with a bond set at $6,000.

The police are working to determine the motive behind Adams's decision to pose as a student.
