Florida Woman, 22, Accused of Posing as ‘Home-Schooled’ Teen on Snapchat to Lure in Boy as Young as 12
There are believed to be additional victims, the Tampa Bay Police Department said
Police arrested a 22-year-old woman who is accused of posing as a student online and initiating an “inappropriate relationship” with a boy.
Officers with the Tampa Police Department announced in a press release on Friday that Alyssa Ann Zinger “made contact” with a “male victim between the ages of 12 and 15” through a social media platform.
Zinger allegedly posed “as a home-schooled student online,” the release said.
The Tampa Bay Times reported that Zinger, who was arrested on November 24, used Snapchat to engage with the boy, as well as to send videos depicting sexual intercourse to other students.
It’s unclear how many minors were involved, but police in the release said there are believed to be additional victims.
“It is disturbing and unsettling to see an adult take advantage of a child and prey on them,” Tampa Bay Chief Lee Bercaw said in the release.

“Anyone who may have been a victim of Zinger’s, we encourage you to come forward,” Bercaw said. “The Tampa Police Department will support you and ensure a predator like Zinger doesn’t cause you or others additional harm.”
Zinger has been charged with two felony counts of lewd or lascivious behavior and five felony counts of lewd or lascivious molestation defendant over 18 victim 12-15. She pleaded not guilty to the charges, the Tampa Bay Times reported, and was released from jail after paying a $7,500 bond.
