A boat captain in Florida is facing two felony charges after allegedly threatening to kill a couple at a Taco Bell and telling them, “You’re in Florida.”

According to the Key West Police Department, on Oct. 7, 52-year-old Jonathon Michael Mashburn was allegedly attempting to back his SUV into a parking spot in the fast food lot, local news outlet WPLG reported.

A man and woman were sitting in their truck ordering food online in the parking spot next to the one Mashburn was attempting to park in, according to police.

The woman in the truck reportedly rolled her window down to tell Mashburn he was about to hit their vehicle. Mashburn allegedly yelled, “What’s your f---ing problem? You’ve got your high beams on” after parking his SUV, according to the police report reviewed by the outlet.

The couple in the truck then flashed the high beams on and off to show Mashburn the intense lights were not on, which caused Mashburn to allegedly draw his weapon.

“You know where you’re at?” police said Mashburn asked the couple after allegedly pulling out a black semi-automatic pistol. “I’ll f---ing kill you! You’re in Florida!”

The man in the truck then pulled out his phone to record Mashburn, who fled the scene after he realized he was on camera, according to police. When confronted about the incident by law enforcement later, Mashburn reportedly told the officers that the two in the truck had pulled a gun on him first but “recanted” his allegation, according to the police report, per WPLG.

He was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and jailed on a $100,000 bond, according to court records.
