A man was arrested in Florida after he allegedly "bashed" a woman's head into a tree stump when she woke him up while trying to go to the bathroom, according to the police.

Marion County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a verbal disturbance and possible battery at the Silver Springs State Park campsite on Friday, FOX 35 Orlando reported.

Deputies found the woman "extremely shaken up" with blood on her hands, arms and legs, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by the station. She said she was arguing with the suspect, Eric Barr, and the two were drinking together.

She then showed deputies the back of her head, which was covered in blood. Deputies requested medical treatment for the woman.

"How could you do this to me?" the woman shouted at Barr, according to the report.

The woman initially told deputies that Barr "hit" her with a stump, then revealed that he "bashed" her head against the stump.

Deputies also located a log with blood on it next to a bottle of liquor.

Barr told authorities that he was drinking with the woman and they went to bed around 10 p.m. The woman woke up to go to the bathroom, which also woke Barr up.

He denied any part in the incident and said he was inside the tent at the time.

Barr was charged with domestic aggravated battery.
