Police in Texas are still looking for at least one gunman after a child died and four others were injured in a mass shooting at a flea market on Sunday afternoon.

The shooting took place just after 5:30 p.m. at Cole's Antique Village & Flea Market in the Houston suburb of Pearland.

Police said the incident began as a disturbance between two people. It is unclear if one or both of the people involved in the argument had guns.

Pearland Police Department spokesperson Chad Rogers called the investigation “very active” during a Sunday evening briefing on the shooting.

“A lot of people are upset and sad," Rogers said.

Pearland Police said it was unclear how many shots were fired, but said it did not appear to be a targeted attack on the flea market.

They are requesting any witnesses come forward with information that might help with the investigation.

The flea market is open weekends year-round and welcomes 12,000-15,000 customers on an average day, according to its website.

The shooting took place about 30 minutes after closing time for the facility.
