Eerie drone footage posted on Telegram depicts the aftermath of this weekend's attack by Hamas terrorists on the Supernova music festival in Southern Israel's desert, which acted as the opening of a sprawling surprise assault on Israeli civilians.

In the widely shared video recorded Sunday by first responders and shared with the Reuters news agency, the Supernova Music Festival site is seen completely abandoned, with dozens of scorched, burned cars lying abandoned on the side of the main road out of the area in a scene that looked more like the aftermath of a natural disaster.

According to The New York Times, about 3,500 people were at the outdoor, all-night music festival held about three miles from the border of the Gaza Strip.

While some missed the sounds of the initial explosions due to the thundering music, others ignored them, as they were used to the sound of incoming rocket fire, The Washington Post reported.

At least 260 bodies were recovered from the concert site Sunday, according to ZAKA, a volunteer emergency response group in Israel. Eyewitnesses also reported seeing militants capture, rape, and murder women at the festival site. Others were kidnapped and taken into Hamas-controlled territory in nearby Gaza.
