Colorado Mother Accused of Murdering 2 of Her Children Arrested in UK

A Colorado woman accused of killing two of her children amid a custody battle was arrested Saturday in the United Kingdom, police said Sunday. 

Kimberlee Singler, 35, was arrested without incident in the U.K., the Colorado Springs Police Department said Sunday, but did not give any additional information, according to CBS Colorado. A warrant was issued Dec. 26 for Singler’s arrest and remains sealed. 

Police initially responded to Singler’s home on Dec. 19 after receiving a report of a burglary and found her 9-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son dead at the scene and her 11-year-old daughter injured. Singler was also found injured at the home, and was transported to a local hospital along with her 11-year-old daughter. 

Colorado Springs police investigators later determined that the initial report of a burglary at the house was unfounded, and have alleged that Singler injured and killed her children. 

Singler faces multiple counts of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, child abuse and assault. Before her arrest Saturday, she had last been seen on Dec. 23.
