Chris Wallace Warns a Trump Prison Term Could Be ‘Life Sentence’
'Look, you’d have to be crazy not to be worried,' said CNN host
Former Fox News and current CNN host Chris Wallace said Friday that Donald Trump could die in prison if he's convicted of any of the federal felony counts he's charged with linked to his retention of classified documents.
"Look, you’d have to be crazy not to be worried,” Wallace told his colleague Abby Phillip on CNN Tonight.
Wallace warned that Trump, “as a man who just turned 77, you talk about a jail term, it could be a life sentence … if it were to happen."
Wallace said "almost everyone, Republican and Democrat who has any kind of independence has said it’s a very strong indictment."
But he also cautioned: "Now, an indictment is not proof. And a lot of people who were indicted end up being found not guilty, but there’s every reason for him to worry."
