California prosecutors said a mom who two years ago was accused of throwing sex parties with alcohol and minors had also conducted an online search for disturbing terms related to children, according to court documents obtained by local news outlet KRON.

A review of Shannon O’Connor’s Google searches reportedly revealed to prosecutors that she had allegedly searched for terms like “good books with young sex,” “hot 16 (year) old teenage girls,” and “prettiest 16 year old girl.”

According to a 2021 news release from the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office, O’Connor, 48, had allegedly thrown “drunken parties” for multiple teenagers — many of them 14 and 15 years old — “where she encouraged sex acts, sometimes non-consensual, and sometimes while she watched.” At the parties, she provided vodka, whiskey, and condoms, prosecutors said in the release. She also discouraged teenagers from telling their parents about the parties, which took place between 2020 and 2021.

Investigators said O’Connor sacrificed the well-being of minors for her own sexual gratification. At some of these parties, teenagers “passed out in their own vomit,” according to a statement of facts from the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office. At a New Year’s Eve party, O’Connor allegedly “watched and laughed as a drunk teen sexually battered a young girl in bed,” the news release says.

“Evidence admitted at preliminary hearing will show offenses alleged above were committed by defendant as a result of sexual compulsion and for the purpose of sexual gratification,” Deputy District Attorney Rebekah Wise wrote.

Among the victims were students from Los Gatos High School, about 50 miles south of San Francisco. Her teenage son was allegedly among the victims.

The search of her online activity reportedly revealed that she had downloaded suspicious videos of young girls on social media platforms like TikTok.

“The videos show young girls who appear to be underage. They are dressed in revealing clothing. There is no evidence that the girls in these videos were personally known to defendant,” court documents say, according to KRON.

O’Connor would also allegedly let minors drive her SUV in the Los Gatos High School parking lot. During one event in December 2020, an unidentified male child got a concussion after he fell from the back of the SUV and was knocked unconscious, according to the news release. A bystander contacted the police that night, and O’Connor told them she would take the teens home.

In relation to that incident, investigators found that O’Connor had used Google to search “what to do for a concussion in a teenager” and “cracked skull.”

O’Connor pleaded not guilty to 39 criminal charges, including felony child abuse, sexual assault, sexual battery, and providing alcohol to minors. She’s expected to attend a preliminary hearing on November 6.
