OnlyFans Teacher Brianna Coppage Not Alone: These Underpaid 6 Also Quit Jobs and Now Earn More in Porn - The Messenger
It's time to break the news. The Messenger's slogan

After grappling with mounting bills and a hefty pile of student loan debt to pay off, former high school teacher Brianna Coppage turned to OnlyFans as a way to boost her income and now it’s her full-time gig after administrators caught wind.

And Coppage’s story isn’t that unique. More than a few professionals have turned to the subscription-based porn platform to supplement – or fully replace – their incomes.

OnlyFans subscribers shelled out a combined total of $5.6 billion on the website last year.

Coppage isn’t even the only teacher who ditched their day job in front of classroom full of kids to perform nude in front of a webcam. As the pay rate for teachers lags behind inflation, more and more teachers are leaving their jobs, according to state reports.

Courtney Tilla was working as a special education teacher before she created an OnlyFans page in 2019, and by 2022 she told TMZ she had raked in over $1 million from the website.

She told the news outlet it would have likely taken her over 25 years in her former school position to accrue that much money, even with her Master’s Degree.

The former teacher now offers an hour-long lesson for other educators who are looking to break into the OnlyFans game, she told the site.

Allie Rae

A former Boston ICU nurse Allie Rae said she turned to OnlyFans during the COVID-19 pandemic after first posting pictures of herself in a bathing suit on Instagram, the New York Post reported. After the staff at the hospital discovered she had been posting content to OnlyFans, and raking in thousands per month, she was forced to choose between the hospital or OnlyFans.

Rae chose OnlyFans and told the news outlet she now makes around $200,000 per month.

Kayley Winterson and Emily Rose

In 2021, two EMTs quit their jobs working for the U.K.’s National Health Service ambulance service in favor of posting to OnlyFans.

Couple Kayley Winterson and Emily Rose told The Independent they were “making our daily wage in the ambulance service within an hour on most days.”

According to the NHS pay rates for 2023, the two could have been pulling in a salary of somewhere between $43,000-$52,000, depending on their experience. In reality, the two said they were making around $13 (£11) an hour – less than the baristas made at a coffee shop, Winterson said.

“I was on £11-an-hour driving around during the height of the pandemic, going through really traumatic experiences and getting nothing back,” she said.

With OnlyFans, the two said they now earn GBP $180 “in half an hour” instead of over the course of a day.

Kerri Andrews

Kerri Andrews resigned from her position as a police officer in North London and turned to OnlyFans after feeling unsupported by management in her dangerous job, she told The Daily Mail. She created her OnlyFans account a month before she left the force and now earns $14 a month from subscribers.

“Whatever happens, I’m now in control of my own future,” Andrews said. She had been working as a police officer for 5 years before deciding to quit in pursuit of OnlyFans.

Andrews isn't the only police officer with an OnlyFans account. This week, a Minneapolis cop was outed for having an adult content account after a man she pulled over in a traffic stop reportedly recognized her from the website. She is now under investigation by the state to see if her account violated police policies.

Mixed martial artist and Ultimate Fighting Championship alum Paige VanZant said she made more on OnlyFans in one day than over her entire fighting career.

"OnlyFans has definitely been my largest source of income, I would say combined, in my fighting career," VanZant said in an interview Barstool Sports' Only Stans podcast. "I think I've made more money in 24 hours on OnlyFans than I did in my entire fighting career combined."

The athlete most recently fought in July 2021 and has been on OnlyFans since 2022.
