‘Blucifer,’ the 32-Foot Gatekeeper of Denver’s Airport and Its Conspiracy Theories Gets a Fresh Scrub
Is Blue Mustang just a statue? Or a cursed Horse of the Apocalypse hiding the Freemasons' secrets? Depends on who you ask
The infamous horse statue at the Denver International Airport (DIA) known to many as Blucifer got a well-deserved cleaning.
Blue Mustang, the official name of the 32-foot sculpture, got a fresh scrub, a fresh coat of UV protectant to keep its vibrant color, and a fiberglass inspection to repair any cracks and chips it may have accumulated surviving the harsh Denver winters.
To the average person, a Blue Mustang seems like nothing more than a perfectly fine statue at an airport. But for conspiracy theorists, Blucifer is the cursed face of one of the strangest and most secretive places in the world.
People have been calling Blucifer a harbinger of chaos and destruction since before it officially debuted in 2008. That's because in 2006, Luis Jimenez, the artist who designed Blue Mustang, died when a piece of the statue fell on him.
But the DIA conspiracies go way beyond that, as people have been suspicious about unmarked buildings, the runways being shaped like a swastika (this one is a stretch, even by conspiracy standards), and strange art throughout the airport.
Some say the Freemasons are behind the DIA, while others believe it is a meeting place for underground lizard people. It all starts with the literal and figurative "Horse of the Apocalypse," known as Blue Mustang or Blucifer, depending on who you ask.
