A B-1B Lancer crashed at the Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota on Thursday during a "training mission," the 28th Bomb Wing Public Affairs Office told The Messenger.

The crash occurred around 5:50 p.m., while the four aircrew on board were attempting to land on the installation.

All four aircrew safely ejected from the plane, the public affairs office told The Messenger.

No additional details were immediately available, such as a possible cause, but the public affairs office noted additional details would be provided in the future.

A board of officers will investigate the incident.
