A 15-year-old girl and four teenage brothers in Sweden were sentenced to serve jail time Thursday in a plot to lure the girl's alleged rapist into the woods, strangle him, and hang him from a tree.

The teens tricked the 26-year-old taxi driver into a nature reserve near Enkoping, in central Sweden, with the promise of "sexual favors," asking him to bring along vodka, local newspaper Fria Tider reported.

The then-15-year-old girl had accused the man of raping her when she was 14, which prompted her and her boyfriend to recruit his three brothers to conspire to kill him.

Law enforcement found the man's taxi abandoned and blanketed in snow at the parking lot of a nature reserve about an hour's drive outside of Stockholm on March 26, Fria Tider reported in September.

Days later, the man's body was located about a third of a mile away from his vehicle. The teens tried to make the scene look like a suicide by hanging the man from a tree, according to the paper.

The four teen boys denied that they had killed the taxi driver, while the girl said she believed that the boys had only planned to beat up the man, the BBC reported.

But the alleged rape survivor is said to have taken a photo of her boyfriend celebrating with a flatbread soon after the murder and texting a friend that her accused rapist was dead.

The alleged murder is said to have taken place at the Hjalstaviken nature reserve, about an hour outside of Stockholm.

One of the brothers also transferred money out of the victim's bank account soon after his death, per the BBC.

In court, prosecutors presented evidence that the boys had recently purchased a rope, masks, and other equipment, suggesting that the murder was pre-planned, Fria Tider reported.

While the girl and her boyfriend were apparently not at the scene during the murder itself, the court determined that they had helped plan the killing.

The oldest brother, 18, was sentenced to life in prison, while the four other teens will each receive three to four years in a juvenile detention facility.
