Atlanta Man Shot After Refusing To Sell Marijuana, Police Say

The Atlanta Police Department is still looking for the suspected gunman

An Atlanta man is recovering after being shot for telling a gunman he didn’t sell drugs.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, the 20-year-old victim was shot Friday at 12:43 p.m. as he was leaving the City Parks Apartment complex. An unknown man approached him asking to buy marijuana.

The victim informed the man he did not sell drugs and attempted to walk away before the suspect brandished a gun and shot him while demanding money.

The two men scuffled and shots were fired, wounding the victim in the leg. The suspect escaped before police arrived at the scene.

The victim was conscious when transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities have not released details about the full extent of his injuries or his identity.

The incident remains under investigation, according to the police report.
