The North American Aerospace Defense Command on Saturday intercepted a civilian aircraft that had gotten too close to President Joe Biden's Delaware home, according to reports.

In a statement to the Delaware News Journal, NORAD officials said a fighter craft and a helicopter stopped the civilian aircraft around 2:25 p.m. Saturday that had flown into restricted airspace over Biden's home. NORAD shot off flares to notify the pilot of the civilian aircraft.

Biden is staying at his Delaware residence over the weekend.

The Secret Service, in a statement to The New York Post, said the response was a "precaution" and "the civilian aircraft safely landed at a nearby airport."

Neither NORAD nor the Secret Service immediately returned The Messenger's request for more information.
