Tens of thousands of Israeli citizens showed up to the funeral of a Brazilian college student killed during Saturday’s surprise terrorist attack at a music festival in southern Israel.
Bruna Valeanu, a 24-year-old Tel Aviv University student, was among the at least 260 people killed in a massacre orchestrated by Hamas terrorists at the Supernova Music Festival, her family confirmed, according to Brazilian news outlet G24.
Following her family’s public request that at least 10 people attend her funeral Tuesday, 10,000 Israelis showed up to mourn the former Israel Defense Forces shooting instructor, N12 News reported.
In her last communication with friends, Valeanu reportedly said she was surrounded by gunfire and injured people, according to The National Desk. She is the second confirmed Brazilian victim in the attacks.
Multiple U.S. citizens remain missing in Israel in a war that has already left 1,700 dead — including 14 Americans — by Tuesday morning.
