Here’s What’s in Starbucks Holiday Drinks, Including the New Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai
Holiday beverages have arrived at Starbucks
It’s officially red cup season at Starbucks.
Starbucks debuted its holiday drink lineup Thursday, bringing back old favorites like the Peppermint Mocha and Caramel Brulée Latte, along with a newcomer, the Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai.
While none of these drinks have as much sugar as the Dunkin’ Donuts Brown Sugar Cookie Frozen Coffee, which contains a whopping 153 grams of sugar, dietitians have still highlighted the sugar content of Starbucks seasonal drinks as something to be aware of.
For example, the Peppermint Mocha has 54 grams of sugar, which is more than double the amount of daily added sugar recommended for women by the American Heart Association. Sugar-wise, it’s also the equivalent of consuming about five candy canes.
We’re unwrapping the full nutritional information for Starbucks’ holiday coffee options.
