Wynonna Judd is clearing the air after her performance with Jelly Roll at the 2023 Country Music Awards left many fans concerned. The singer took to Instagram on Wednesday to address the remarks and said she didn't follow advice to not read comments about her performance.

"I read the comments," she said. A headline about fans being concerned about her on-stage moment appeared on the video as Judd continued, "I'm just gonna come clean with y'all. I was so freaking nervous."

She explained, "I got up there, I looked at Jelly Roll. I wanted it to be so good for him. I could cry right now but I'm not going to because I'm such a fan of his and he asked me to sing. I said 'Absolutely.' I got out there and I was so nervous that I just held on for dear life. And that's the bottom line."

Judd ended by reassuring fans, "All is well" before sharing a joke she heard right before going onstage.

Judd and Jelly Roll opened the CMAs with a performance of his "Need a Favor" single. Many viewers took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their candid thoughts, stating they were worried about her.

"wynonna judd seems like she’s struggling up there 😢 #CMA #CMAAwards," wrote one fan.

One fan simply said they were "worried" about Judd, adding, "She looked she could barely walk, grabbed Jelly Roll’s jacket, and didn’t MOVE."

"Why is Wynonna Judd holding on to Jelly Roll for dear life? #CMAAwards," one questioned.

Another fan hoped it was an isolated moment. "#CMAawards I haven’t seen Wynonna Judd in a while. Good to see her but she seems like something isn’t right. Hopefully just a bad night 🙏🏾"

Thankfully, all is well, and Judd's humor (and health) are intact.
