‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star Lala Kent Celebrates 5 Years of Sobriety

Lala Kent is celebrating a major milestone.

The Vanderpump Rules star took to Instagram on Sunday to mark hitting five years of sobriety. Kent posted the news alongside a photo of herself with her 2-year-old daughter Ocean.

"On this day I replay my rock bottom moment," she wrote. "All the details of what happened on this day. Waking up, admitting I was powerless, and for the first time in many years seeing the light at the end of the tunnel."

Kent added, "I'm so grateful for this day. I will continue to work hard for my sobriety and take a moment of silence for the alcoholic who still suffers. I see you — I love you. Thank you, God. Happy birthday to me!"

Her co-stars and former co-stars offered their congratulations in the comments section, with Stassi Schroeder writing, "The most proud of you in every way."

"Congratulations," Ariana Madix commented. "This picture of you and little Ocean is so precious."

Kent opened up about getting sober while speaking to E! News in Sept. 2022, explaining that she began drinking from morning to night after her dad died.

"It was how I was coping," the Bravo star explained. "When I went on the full-on binge drinking for, I believe it was three or four days straight, I just woke up with that feeling of being out of control, not knowing what I did, just the guilt and the shame and that was the moment I said I'm taking my life back. I'm not living one more day this way."
