Usher Reportedly Launching World Tour After Super Bowl Performance and New Album Release
Reports say the R&B superstar could announce the news the day of the Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show performance
Eight-time Grammy Award winner and R&B superstar Usher is already set to perform at 2024's Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show and release his new album, Coming Home, the same day, but new reports believe that he's also gearing up for a world tour.
According to Billboard, sources close to the singer say his team has begun placing holds on arenas around the world. They also say he may announce the tour during his Halftime Show performance.
The Messenger reached out to his team for confirmation but has not heard back as of posting time.
Usher was recently announced as the Feb. 11, 2024 halftime performer, and promptly announced the release of his upcoming album would be slated for the same day.
"It's an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list," said the 44-year-old at the time of the announcement. "I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I'll see you real soon."
He previously joined The Black Eyed Peas on the halftime show stage in 2011 and performed his No. 1 hit, "OMG," with Fergie, will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo.
Coming Home will be Usher's first new album since 2016’s Hard II Love and will feature his recent song "Good Good" featuring Summer Walker and 21 Savage.
