Travis Kelce Gives Update on Taylor Swift Romance During Chiefs vs Eagles Game

Though Taylor Swift was thousands of miles away wrapping up her Eras Tour stop in Brazil, she was still top of mind for Travis Kelce — and the journalists covering the Kansas City Chiefs vs the Philadelphia Eagles game on Nov. 20.

During the third quarter, ESPN reporter Lisa Salters discussed her quick conversation with Kelce. Salters asked Kelce how he was adjusting to things and the star tight end, who scored a touchdown near the end of the second quarter, gave a quick update on his and Swift's relationship.

"We're having a great time," Kelce responded, according to Salters. "We're both happy and enjoying life."

Originally, Swift was expected to attend the game — which was a Super Bowl rematch between Kelce's Chiefs and the Eagles, whose star center is Kelce's brother Jason Kelce — but she stayed in Brazil to play one more show that had been postponed and rescheduled over the weekend following the death of a fan and safety concerns due to extreme heat.

Kelce gave additional insight into his and Swift's dynamic in a wide-ranging cover story that was published hours before the Chiefs vs Eagles game. In the Wall Street Journal  feature with the NFL star, the writer noted that Kelce "doesn't need to be asked" about Swift as he brings her up in conversation organically, calling her "hilarious" and "a genius." Additionally, the athlete detailed their compatible perspectives when it comes to family and work.

"Everybody knows I'm a family guy," said Kelce. "Her team is her family. Her family does a lot of stuff in terms of the tour, the marketing, being around, so I think she has a lot of those values as well, which is right up my alley."

A friend of the Super Bowl champ went on to describe a late-night gathering where Kelce and Swift looked like two "peas in a pod." The insider also shared that at one point, the pair randomly burst into song with a duet of Wheatus' "Teenage Dirtbag."

The Messenger was first to report that Swift and Kelce were "quietly hanging out" in September. In October, a source told The Messenger that their relationship was heating up.

"They are both smitten and can't keep their hands off one another when they are together," the insider said. "They aren't scared to be affectionate in public."

Swift and Kelce are looking forward to spending time together during the festive season ahead, The Messenger learned.

"They are hoping they will make time for each other during the holidays in December," a source told The Messenger earlier in November. "They have talked about holiday plans and how everything will work during their busy season."
