Travis Kelce Responds to Cheeky Taylor Swift References By Sports Commentator

Travis Kelce understands those Taylor Swift quips all too well.

The Chiefs tight end responded after Rich Eisen made several Swift-related references in his Sept. 17 broadcast of NFL GameDay Morning, nodding to the athlete's rumored relationship with the singer.

"Even though that bone bruise and the injury one would think is delicate, he's been able to shake it off," Eisen said, referring to two of Swift's songs. The sports commentator even incorporated another song title in his Instagram caption of the video, writing, "Look what you made me do @killatrav."

In response, Kelce took to the comment section in stride. "Well played Rich…. Well played," he said.

Eisen wasn't the only commentator having fun with Swift-related wordplay. CBS's Ian Eagle went so far as to call out during Sunday's Chiefs-Jaguars matchup, "Kelce finds a blank space for the score," when the tight end racked up a TD for his team in the second half.

Kelce and Swift have been "quietly hanging out," a source told The Messenger in September. "She saw him when she was in NYC a few weeks ago," the insider noted.

The Chiefs player originally tried to give the singer his number by way of a friendship bracelet in July, but wasn't able to hand deliver it to her during her Kansas City show.

"I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings, so I was a little butthurt I didn't get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her," Kelce explained during an episode of the New Heights podcast.
