Antonia Bennett is sharing an update on how her mom, Sandra Grant Bennett, and stepmom, Tony Bennett's widow Susan Crow, are feeling in the wake of the iconic singer's death at age 96.

While speaking exclusively to The Messenger, Antonia said that her mom is "doing alright" following the legendary artist's death in July. The couple was married in 1971 and split up 12 years later.

"She said to me, 'I don't really know how I feel about it, so much has happened but, you know, we did really love each other at one time, and there's a lot of memories there,'" Antonia recounted, noting that grief is "confusing."

The singer explained, "It can be many different things all at the same time. It doesn't have to be one thing."

Antonia added that she was recently texting with her stepmom, who married Tony in 2007.

"I guess it's the same for her as well," she said. "I don't really know but I would assume that it's quite something rebuilding your life after you've been together with somebody for so many years."

Antonia is set to perform her first show following her dad's death, appearing one night only at the Catalina Jazz Club in Los Angeles on Nov. 19. It will be, she said, a "meaningful and significant" experience.

"Every time I open my mouth to sing, I feel like I'm honoring him a little bit because he was there from the beginning," she explained. "I just feel like this is really such a special gift that he gave me."
