Toni Braxton Confirms Relationship Status After Sister Tamar Questions if She Secretly Married Birdman

Toni Braxton is setting the record straight about her love life.

After Tamar Braxton appeared on social media questioning whether her sister secretly married Birdman, the "Unbreak My Heart" singer decided to clear the air.

"My dear friend @birdman and I are not married... never been married," Toni wrote on Instagram Monday. "We are both single."

So where did all the romance speculation first come from? 

Over New Year's weekend, Tamar shared a news article to her 6 million Instagram followers that stated Toni and Birdman had married in Mexico. She proceeded to post a video explaining how she was going to find out the truth.

"I was on X and I had saw that post and I want to know!" the Celebrity Big Brother winner told her followers in a since-deleted post. "I don't know. I've been blowing up her phone. Somebody gotta tell us something."

"I called my mother and my mother on the phone acting slow," Tamar continued while laughing. "My mother is not giving up information but she is acting slow. I can definitely tell she know something."

Once Toni set the record straight on Instagram, however, Tamar said she was simply trying to support her sister.

"My dear friend is wild," she wrote with the sneezing face emoji while commenting on The Shade Room's post. "And ima mind my business and ride for my sister till the wheels fall off and then we walking or someone to drive us."

While Toni may be single in 2024, Tamar continues to celebrate her engagement to Queens Court star Jeremy "JR" Robinson. After receiving a proposal on Christmas Day, the Braxton Family Values star reflected on what's to come.

"I'm so blessed," Tamar wrote on Instagram. "God is sooo good and 2024 will be magical."
