Tom Holland Reveals the Sweet Gesture He Did For Zendaya Early in Their Relationship: ‘And Now We’re in Love’

Sometimes it pays to be a little handy. Tom Holland revealed in a recent interview with Unilad that he put his carpentry skills to work in the beginning stages of his relationship with Zendaya.

"I fixed my girlfriend’s door once really early on in our relationship,” he said, adding, "And now we're in love."

For the record, Holland also noted that he built his mom's kitchen table, his mom’s office, all the cupboards in his bedroom and a little birdhouse with his granddad.

Holland offered a similarly sweet message of love in an interview with Buzzfeed earlier this month, saying that he's "locked up" with his girlfriend. "I'm happy and in love so I've got no need for rizz,” he said. (For non gen-Zers, rizz means seduction skills.)

The Crowded Room actor also revealed that Zendaya's mode of communication with him typically involves memes — lots and lots of memes.

“It's nonstop,” he said. “She sends me too much, it's like, I can't keep up! I delete my Instagram for days at a time. I download it to post and then I have to check my messages, and I'll have hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of things from her.”

The pair met in 2016 after being cast as a couple in Marvel's reboot of Spider-Man and made it Instagram official in 2021 with a sweet birthday post. "My MJ, have the happiest of birthdays," Holland wrote, alongside a selfie of the duo. "Gimme a call when your up xxx."
