Savannah Chrisley is giving insight as to how dad Todd Chrisley plans to reduce his prison sentence.

During an episode of the Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley podcast on Oct. 3, Savannah — whose parents, Todd and Julie, are currently serving a 19-year combined prison sentence for tax evasion — revealed that the former Chrisley Knows Best stars are both taking advantage of the First Step Act — a program created to assist prisoners with transitioning back into society by taking classes or teaching them in jail.

"Dad's definitely taught some classes," Savannah said of Todd, who is currently serving 12 years at a prison in Pensacola, Fla. "Trauma is one of them. I think another one was a financial class, which, how ironic?"

"I know [Julie] definitely taught classes, like she taught a real estate class, she's got all these certificates from teaching and completing classes and all these things," Savannah added of her mom, who is serving a seven-year prison sentence in Lexington, Ky. "Overachiever Julie ... always been."

By teaching these classes, inmates are eligible to have their sentenced reduced.

In February, Savannah announced plans for a new reality series on her podcast, saying, "Tons of production companies have reached out, and networks that want to do a show."

The Chrisley family rose to fame on USA Network's Chrisley Knows Best, which chronicled the lives of real estate mogul Todd and his family, including Julie and children Chase and Savannah.

Chrisley Knows Best premiered in 2014 and ran for 10 seasons on the network, including its 10th and final season which aired after Todd and Julie reported to prison in January.
