Jill Martin has a reason to celebrate as she continues documenting her experience with cancer. On Thanksgiving Day, the Today show contributor rang the chemo bell and successfully closed a chapter in her breast cancer journey.

"Not quite sure how to express my gratitude. Not enough words," she wrote on Instagram Thursday. "I hold two strong emotions very tight that often are not held together. I am grateful that I caught my cancer early enough to be able to treat it and that chemotherapy helped me fight it. I am still shocked this whole thing happened."

Martin continued, "I am grateful I got to ring the bell with all my might after finishing this part of my journey. I am grateful I get to be with my family today."

After being diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in June, Martin underwent a double mastectomy and had 17 lymph nodes removed before starting chemotherapy.

After finishing radiation, Martin is expected to have surgery to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes to reduce her risk for ovarian cancer.

Throughout her journey, the fashion designer has documented the ups and downs of her cancer fight both on social media and the Today show.

"I ring this bell with all my might," Martin wrote in her latest Instagram post. "Honoring my mother who beat this disease, my grandmother who we lost to it and to all those who fought and are continuing to fight this battle. I feel like I can do anything now."

This Thanksgiving, Martin said she plans to savor her husband's stuffing followed by sushi and a dirty martini. She's also giving hope to others facing health battles and struggles.

"Sending so much love, strength and light," she wrote on Instagram. "With everything going on in the world, we must celebrate the moments filled with light when we can. Happy Thanksgiving from my grateful family to yours."
