The ‘Heartstopper’ Season 2 Opening Scene Already Has Us Swooning
Plus we know all of the Season 2 episode titles
The opening scene of Heartstopper Season 2 was revealed at Tudum, Netflix's global fan event, which took place live in Brazil for the first time ever this year. It's been over a year since Joe Locke and Kit Connor won us over as the live-action of Nick and Charlie from Alice Osman's bestselling graphic novels. And it looks like they're ready to charm once again.
The opening scene for Heartstopper Season 2 shows Charlie waking up to good morning texts from Nick before their first day of school as official boyfriends. They only share two brief lines of dialogue – "Hi," "Hi," – but we all know what it's like to be eyes-glued-to-your-phone-cheesy-smile-on-100 when texting a crush or new love. The brief scene is just enough to remind us of the butterfly-inducing feel-good warmth of this show.
The scene is not the only Heartstopper news we got during Tudum, though. We've also got the episode titles from Season 2; they reveal some of what we can expect. Check out Episode 5, called "Heat," which has us thinking the teens could be getting up to something steamy! But get ready for tension in Episodes 6 and 7. The former is titled "Truth/Dare," and everyone knows nothing can come from a game of high school truth or dare. Our suspicions seemed to be confirmed by the fact that Episode 7 is labeled "Sorry." However, we're not stressing out too much because the season finale is named "Perfect." So there's going to be some angst, but fingers are crossed for an adorable and heartwarming ending.
Here's the complete list of episode titles:
Episode 1: “Out”
Episode 2: “Family”
Episode 3: “Promise”
Episode 4: “Challenge”
Episode 5: “Heat”
Episode 6: “Truth/Dare”
Episode 7: “Sorry”
Episode 8: “Perfect”
