Surely no one is more pumped about Ryan Gosling's The Fall Guy than Ryan Gosling's Ken. Even though his one note might be "needs more horses."

Directed by David Leitch (Atomic Blonde, Bullet Train), the first Fall Guy trailer features everything that Ken loves: machismo, action, neon colors. Loosely based on the Lee Majors series from the '80s, the new film stars Gosling as Colt Seavers, a stuntman working on the big-budget directorial debut of his ex-girlfriend Jody (Emily Blunt). When the A-list lead (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) goes missing, Colt is tasked with tracking him down.

"He was like, 'Look, I've been working on films my entire life,'" Leitch told EW of early conversations with Gosling. "'I've gotten really good at the romance film, I've gotten to experiment with comedy with The Nice Guys, and I've recently done a big action movie called The Gray Man. I feel like I'm ready to make a movie like this, where I get to use all of the tools in my toolbox.' It's really watching Gosling fire on all cylinders."

Leitch references a few of Gosling's past projects but The Fall Guy trailer most closely resembles the actor's turns in Barbie and Drive. The dirty, bleach-blonde hair and comedy elements scream Ken, while Gosling previously memorably played a stuntman named The Driver in 2011's Drive, one of his best performances to date.

Who knows, maybe they're saving his La La Land-like jazz solo as a surprise for when The Fall Guy races into theaters on March 1, 2024.
