Trista Sutter is sharing an update on Ryan Sutter's health two years after he was diagnosed with Lyme Disease.

While stepping out at KIIS-FM's iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2023 presented by Capital One, ABC's former Bachelorette recognized her husband's strength and resilience.

"He has made great progress," Trista exclusively told The Messenger at The Kia Forum in Inglewood, Calif. "He's still up and down. Lyme Disease is not an easy diagnosis by any means. He's been hopeful that he would have found better results with the treatments that he's gone through. He's still looking for something to really eradicate it from his body, but he's definitely feeling good."

While Ryan didn't pose for photos on the red carpet, he was in attendance for the sold-out concert featuring Olivia Rodrigo, Niall Horan, P1Harmony and other artists. As Trista said with a laugh, "The red carpet is just not his thing."

Trista confirmed Ryan has returned to work as a firefighter and continues to be "the best" father to their two kids.

And while the Almost Famous OG podcast co-host is singing her husband's praises, Ryan also expressed gratitude for his wife of nearly 20 years for all of her support.

"Smiles have been at a premium this year — a little tough to come by. But you’re always there trying," he wrote on Instagram this past October when celebrating Trista's birthday. "You should know that I can see it — the effort you put forth holding things back, guarding and portraying calm contentment. I know you want to cry but you won’t, to scream but you can’t. I know you put your struggles last and our needs first. And I appreciate it. We appreciate it."

The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour special airs Dec. 21 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
