‘Teen Mom’ Stars Cheyenne Floyd and Zach Davis Are Thinking of Adopting an Older Black Child (Exclusive)
'If we decided to adopt, our village would love, nurture, take care and rally behind us,' the 'Teen Mom: The Next Chapter' star exclusively tells The Messenger
When it comes to expanding her family, Cheyenne Floyd is open to many ideas.
As fans continue to ask questions about her future plans, the Teen Mom: The Next Chapter star and her husband Zach Davis say they have had discussions about possibly adopting an older Black child in elementary or middle school.
"I think it's important because as a Black male in America, it's just tough especially if you're in the foster system," Davis exclusively tells The Messenger. "Once you hit that age, you fall into the system, you fall victim to it and you're stuck in it. We want to give somebody an opportunity to get out of it."
While the couple isn't ready to make a final decision just yet, they are confident they will have the help and support of their entire family with whatever decision they make.
"We have such a strong village that we know that if we decided to adopt, our village would love, nurture, take care and rally behind us," Floyd shares. "We would specifically seek out, which sounds weird, but we would want an older Black male because who's gonna give him a chance?"
Davis adds, "I just feel like we're fortunate. We're blessed enough to do that. We have a platform and the means to do so. So it's like why not? It's a big difference from us bringing in a third biological child, but we can make that child our child."

For now, Floyd — who shares daughter Ryder with ex Cory Wharton and son Ace with Davis — says she's focused on celebrating the present while also working on a variety of projects, including her Think Loud Crew podcast.
"We toy with the idea of having a baby or adopting and fostering and I don't know what we're gonna do," she reveals. "I think in this next year, we're trying to make some big life-changing decisions."
The MTV star is also paying it forward by giving deserving families in her community an unforgettable celebration.
As Teen Mom viewers know, Floyd loves hosting parties for her family. But over the weekend, the reality star teamed up with Events By Cory Lanora to throw a Paw Patrol-themed party for a deserving Pasadena, Calif., family.
Held at Whimsy Pasadena, the event featured a variety of vendors — including Roll Em Up Taquitos, Marigold Photo Booths and Made From Scratch Desserts — who donated their time and products to ensure the winners of the "Ultimate Birthday Surprise" giveaway received a special celebration.
"Everybody who did this did it with the kindness of their heart," Floyd explains. "I'm just so excited that this was able to happen. It's something that we want to continue to do as much as possible."
Lanora adds, "Cheyenne and I collaborated 100 percent on this. We want to give back to the community while doing events and this was the perfect way."
