Taylor Swift Thanks Brazilian Fans and ‘Touring Family’ After Wrapping 2023 Eras Tour

'To the people who came to see it, you are what made those stadiums feel so alive and electric and unforgettable for me,' Taylor Swift wrote on Instagram to Brazilian fans

Taylor Swift officially wrapped up the 2023 Eras Tour over the weekend in São Paulo, Brazil and took to Instagram on Tuesday to give thanks for her fans there.

“Bringing a tour to Brazil has been something I’ve dreamt of for years, and those fans blew my expectations away,” Swift wrote. “We’ve officially wrapped up the 2023 Eras Tour and we got to end the year with 6 shows in Rio and São Paulo, with the most magical crowds. I’m so grateful to my touring family, my band, crew and dancers for everything they put into this show all year.”

The post also included a carousel of 10 photos from the tour of Swift performing, along with one shot with her dancers and another with the “Cruel Summer” singer embracing a young fan.

“To the people who came to see it, you are what made those stadiums feel so alive and electric and unforgettable for me,” she added. “Really just feeling so proud and moved by what I got to be a part of. See you in 2024 🎤 🎸 🎹 ✨”

While it ended on a positive note, the tour stop in Brazil was also tainted by tragedy. A fan died from cardiorespiratory arrest after fainting at Swift’s Nov. 17 show at the Nilton Santos stadium in Rio de Janeiro where temperatures exceeded 100 degrees.

Swift said the news of Clara Benevides' death was devastating to her.

"I can't believe I'm writing these words but it is with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show," Swift wrote in her Instagram story.

Another fan was stabbed to death in a robbery prior to her concert early on Nov. 19.

Swift is back in the U.S. and was recently in Kansas City to spend time with NFL star Travis Kelce, but a source told The Messenger Monday that claims she’s moving into the football player's home are "completely untrue."
