Taylor Swift, SZA and Morgan Wallen Lead 2023 Billboard Music Awards Nominations
The Weeknd, Drake and Zach Bryan trail close behind ahead of the Nov. 19 awards show
The 2023 Billboard Music Awards are bubbling under!
Ahead of next month's awards show, it was revealed Thursday that Taylor Swift leads this year's nominations in 20 categories. Morgan Wallen and SZA trail close behind her with 17 nominations each, followed by The Weeknd at 16, Drake with 14 and Zach Bryan with 13 nominations.
Additionally, the Top New Artist category includes Bailey Zimmerman, Ice Spice, Jelly Roll, Peso Pluma and Zach Bryan.
Other first-time nominees include K-pop group NewJeans and overnight sensation Oliver Anthony.
The BBMAs also announced nine new categories — including Top Hot 100 Songwriter, Top Hot 100 Producer, Top Rock Duo/Group, Top Global K-Pop Artist, Top K-Pop Tour, Top K-Pop Album, Top Global K-Pop Song, Top Afrobeats Artist and Top Afrobeats Song.
