Taylor Swift Made a ‘Generous’ Donation to a Kansas City Food Bank

Harvesters Community Food Network in Kansas City revealed they received a very "generous" donation from pop superstar Taylor Swift.

"We were quite surprised," Sarah Biles, the director of communications at Harvesters, recently shared with The Kansas City Star. "In total, it’s a significant contribution to hunger relief and it’s so gratifying to see that she’s chosen a cause like this."

Swift reportedly made the donation back in July after her Eras tour stop in Kansas City, and Harvesters celebrated the contribution on Facebook, writing, "It won’t be a #cruelsummer for thousands of families, children and seniors experiencing food insecurity thanks to a generous donation we received from the award-winning singer!"

Harvesters was asked not to reveal the total donation amount but said it provided thousands of meals to people in need across the greater Kansas City metro area. It was especially needed now as many pandemic relief programs have ended.

Biles went on to invite Swift to the food bank to see how her donation has impacted the organization in person. "You know, Harvesters is really close to Arrowhead," she said, nodding to the stadium where Swift performed this summer. "We'd be enchanted to have her come by for a visit if she ever wanted to learn more about what we do and the impact of her donation."

Or perhaps Swift and football star Travis Kelce could stop by together this holiday season? "If she wanted to support the Chiefs Kingdom food drive which happens at the game on New Year’s Eve and supports Harvesters, we’d be forever and always grateful," added Biles. "NYE seems like a good game for her to attend, doesn’t it?"

Swift and Kelce have been "hanging out," with the "Karma" singer cheering on Kelce at two separate football games. Their relationship is "still casual" and "Taylor is not putting a label on her and Travis' relationship," a source recently told The Messenger, though Kelce has cheekily called her his "good luck charm."
