Taylor Swift Fan in Rio for Eras Tour Stabbed to Death in Robbery Prior to Show
Another fan fainted and died at Taylor Swift's concert in Rio on Friday
A Brazilian Taylor Swift fan who traveled to Rio de Janeiro to see the singer on her Eras Tour was stabbed to death in an attempted robbery before the concert on Sunday.
Gabriel Mongenot Santana Milhomem Santos, 25, was killed after being approached by three men around 3 a.m. Sunday morning in Copacabana, the famous beachside neighborhood, Brazilian newspaper Folha reports.
Two men have already been arrested in connection with the attack; one was just released from jail on Saturday afternoon after being arrested for theft. Police are currently searching for the third suspect, who has been identified.
This is the second time in days that tragedy has struck fans eager to see Swift perform on the Latin American leg of her massively successful Eras Tour.
Another concertgoer, 23-year-old Ana Clara Benevides, fainted and died of cardiac arrest in 100-degree heat at Swift's Rio de Janeiro concert on Friday.
"I can't believe I'm writing these words but it is with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show," Swift wrote on her Instagram Story.

"I want to say now I feel this loss deeply and my broken heart goes out to her family and friends," she continued. "This is the last thing I ever thought would happen when we decided to bring this tour to Brazil."
Swift postponed Saturday's concert in Rio until Monday due to "extreme temperatures" as Brazil continued to experience a record-breaking heat wave.
"The safety and well-being of my fans, fellow performers and crew has to and always will come first," Swift wrote.
