‘Celebrity Jeopardy!’ Contestants Slammed for Avoiding Taylor Swift Category

On Wednesday's episode of 'Celebrity Jeopardy!,' Swifties called out Kyra Sedgwick, Mo Rocca and Amanda Seales for saving a category about Taylor Swift for last

When it comes to Taylor Swift, the contestants on Wednesday's episode of 'Celebrity Jeopardy!' were no masterminds. During the 'Jeopardy!' round, a category called "Also a Taylor Swift Song" was unveiled.

As the round progressed, contestants Kyra Sedgwick, Mo Rocca and Amanda Seales seemed to dodge the category, as all five clues were left until nearly everything else was wiped from the board.

With every passing minute, the Swifties watching at home became more outraged. "They're avoiding the Taylor Swift category like the plague," one wrote. "Way to disrespect the newly minted Time Person of the Year."

Another wrote, "Not jeopardy having a while whole Taylor swift category and not a single contestant knowing any answers."

Well, that's not entirely true.

Things got off to a rocky start with the first clue. "Careful!" it read. "This washing machine cycle using cold water and low spin speed is suggested for lingerie & silk neckties."

Sedgwick buzzed in incorrectly with, "What is gentle?," while Rocca and Seales looked on quizzically. The answer, as Swifties were surely shouting from home, was "What is delicate?" (Okay, we admit, that one was tricky!)

Next up a photo of country star Tim McGraw was shown, who Rocca correctly identified.

The following clue read, "This color appears in the names of two different MLB teams — one in the Northeast, one in the Midwest." Seales buzzed in and answered correctly, "What is red?"

OK, two in a row!

"It's not yours!" read the next clue. "It's this word that comes before 'craft' and 'sweeper' in the names of popular video games."

For the second time in the category, Sedgwick buzzed in incorrectly, answering "What is mind?" Rocca was there to pick up the scraps, answering "What is mine?"

Finally, host Ken Jennings presented the final clue reading, "While crossing the George Washington Bridge from N.J., drivers are greeted by a sign with these 4 words (it's been waiting for you)."

Sedgwick — who may still be exchanging friendship bracelets with forgiving Swift fans since A for effort — buzzed in and guessed, "What is 'Where Have You Been?'"

Neither Rocca or Seales buzzed in to answer. The correct response was, of course, "What is 'Welcome to New York.'"

Difficult Swift category aside, Wednesday's game was won by Rocca, who moved into the Celebrity Jeopardy! semi-finals.
