SZA is sharing a glimpse into her friendship with Lizzo as the "Good as Hell" singer continues to face lawsuits from former dancers and employees.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, SZA admitted she knows little about Lizzo's legal controversy. Instead, she can only speak to the Grammy winner she's known for nearly 10 years.

"I'm just saying, based on the values and the energy that I see in my friend, I just really think that she's a beautiful person, and I just really pray that everybody recovers from this because everybody deserves to heal and feel safe and feel loved," she told the publication in an interview published Tuesday. "I just really hope that everybody ends up feeling like that when this is all said and done. Because that's the bottom line."

According to RS, Lizzo first met SZA nearly a decade ago when she attended a Minneapolis show as a fan and posed for a selfie. A year later, Lizzo scored a special gig of opening for SZA on her mini 2015 tour.

In the years that followed, the pair would support each other on social media, with SZA once speaking out about the hate Lizzo receives online.

"I be wondering where all the virtue signaling, well spoken sh-- talking, Internet warriors are when someone genuine needs defending," she wrote on X (formerly Twitter) in June. "Where the f--- do y'all be at for Lizzo? Do y'all actually know how to support others or only tear them down?"

Back in August, Lizzo was sued by three former dancers and accused of sexual harassment, assault, false imprisonment and more. Lizzo's team denied the allegations, with her attorney Marty Singer sharing plans to sue the group of dancers for their "sham" lawsuit.

"I am not here to be looked at as a victim, but I also know that I am not the villain that people and the media have portrayed me to be these last few days," Lizzo previously wrote on Instagram when addressing the claims. "I am very open with my sexuality and expressing myself but I cannot accept or allow people to use that openness to make me out to be something I am not."

SZA was also a guest on Watch Out for the Big Grrrls.
