‘Summer House’ Star Carl Radke Breaks Silence on Lindsay Hubbard Split in Email to Wedding Guests

Carl Radke is shedding some light on his unexpected breakup with Lindsay Hubbard that occurred just months before they were set to get married.

In a email to wedding guests obtained by The Messenger, Radke confirmed the engagement has been called off.

"Words cannot possibly express how difficult the last two weeks have been for Lindsay and I," Radke shared. "We are so incredibly sorry to all of our guests for the confusion and lack of communication. We were left trying to figure out how this all exactly happened before we could even have the opportunity to determine the path forward amongst ourselves."

Radke acknowledged that there have been "a lot of false narratives and misunderstandings that have made this all the more painful."

But in his email, the Bravo star confirmed he and Hubbard are not moving forward with the wedding.

"The fact of the matter is Lindsay is devastated and I'm crushed with how all this transpired," he wrote. "I graciously ask for some patience and grace to heal and recover while we navigate this extremely difficult time. We are super grateful for the love and support you have shown us and will do what I can to help with any costs associated with changing plans."

Last month, a source confirmed to The Messenger that Radke and Hubbard had broken up nearly one year after getting engaged. 

"He called off the engagement on camera yesterday but they're trying to figure things out," the source explained on Aug. 31. "She's blindsided."

Since then, details surrounding the split have been kept mostly private. Some co-stars, however, have cryptically addressed the breakup on social media.

Danielle Olivera appeared to weigh in when she commented on an Instagram post that featured a clip from the 2008 Sex and the City Movie. "This scene is now so Lindsay / Carl / Danielle coded," the post read, in reference to Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) chasing after Mr. Big (Chris Noth) after being left at the altar on their wedding day. 

As Olivera wrote in the comments section, "Just call me Charlotte from now on." 

Paige DeSorbo wasn't as supportive when she commented on a meme of Seth Jacob Phillips, also known as Dude With a Sign, holding up cardboard message reading, "Paige was right at the reunion."

The social media upload noted, "She didn't believe the engagement was authentic and well... here we are with a broken engagement." The reality star commented, "Thanks."

Bravo fans have had a front-row seat to Radke and Hubbard's relationship after they first met during the summer of 2016. It wasn't until August 2022 when the reality stars decided to get engaged during a beach picnic. 

"William Carl Radke... Your proposal was absolutely perfect!" Hubbard previously wrote on Instagram. "That's a whole lotta love. I love you so f---ing much! #RadHouse4Life."

She added, "My advice: Never give up on that fairytale kind of love!"
