Jackass star Steve-O spoke candidly about sex addiction and celibacy while undressing in a recent episode of the What's Underneath Masculinity podcast.

The self-proclaimed "aging attention whore" opened up about his career, self-esteem, and a period of his life after getting sober when he was addicted to sex.

"Once I had a foundation in sobriety, I found myself really acting out sexually a lot," he shared in the episode. He would pick up girls at his meet-and-greets after shows.

"I developed this pattern where I would meet a woman and become infatuated with her. I'd pour on the charm and then, once she fell for me, I would just ghost. Not only was I not treating them the way I'd want to be treated, I was actually treating them specifically the way I most fear being treated myself."

"I knew exactly what a piece of sh-- I was." He struggled not to act out anymore, he shared, but "just couldn't. It was just an endless cycle of shame."

He then began seeing a sex therapist and for Steve-O, celibacy was the answer. He didn't have sex with anyone for 431 days. "I felt strongly that my mission was to become the man that the love of my life deserves."

That journey eventually led him to meet the love of his life, Lux. They've now been together for seven years. "I never once doubted for a f---ing second that I wanted to be with her."

Steve-O went on to chat about mistakes he made in his career, and the last time he cried.
