There's a new pot-stirrer on the rise in Southern Hospitality; Oisin O'Neill, the latest addition to the crew at Republic Garden & Lounge, is joining the fold to cause some chaos in the Bravo show's sophomore season. Of course, if you ask Oisin (pronounced "oh-SHEEN") if he likes to create drama, the answer is decidedly "no."

At a Bravo event at Republic in Charleston, South Carolina in November, he told The Messenger, "I stay away from drama at all costs." However, even he knows that he's still at the center of a lot of chaos, whether he means to be or not. "In all honesty, I think drama follows me," he said. "I like to stir the pot a little bit or poke the bear, but it's all just bantering, you know what I mean? And I love people's reactions, so yeah, maybe I do stir up a little drama. Unintentionally, but it just all comes my way."

In the preview for Season 2, it's clear that one way Oisin's presence will cause some rifts in the Republic crew is that he takes a shine to Emmy Sharrett, despite the fact that she's in a committed relationship with Will Kulp.

"You kind of see Oisin coming from a mile away," Emmy told The Messenger of his flirtatious demeanor. "He's not a very calm, sly person. He's kind of obnoxious."

"Yeah, Oisin certainly isn't subtle, and you can see that from the trailer," Will added. "I think the thing that people are gonna be able to see is how Oisin tests our relationship and then how that tests our friendships with others, because he definitely tries to insert himself between Emmy and me. And then that has a ripple effect amongst the friend group that is interesting to see play out."

According to the couple, Oisin is able to excuse his own aggressive antics by pointing to his roots in the very different culture of Ireland.

"He blames everything on being European," Will said. "My mom's from London, and she doesn't act that way, so I don't know what to tell him sometimes."

According to costar TJ Dinch, though, there's more to Oisin than meets the eye: "I will say that he's different … day and night, sober and drunk. He has a very good head on his shoulders, and he's very respectable, and he's a good listener as a sober man. But when he has a couple of drinks in him, all that goes off," he said. "He has a good heart deep down."

Southern Hospitality Season 2 premieres on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 9/8c on Bravo. The episode will be available to stream next day on Peacock.
