Sophie Turner Sits Next to Taylor Swift at Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs Game Against the Jets
A source previously told The Messenger that Swift and Turner 'laugh a lot when they are together and have a fun bond'
It was a girls' night out for Sophie Turner and Taylor Swift on Sunday. The pair were seen together in the same suite at the Kansas City Chiefs game against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium to see Travis Kelce and his team take the field.
Turner and Swift have been particularly close since the Game of Thrones actress split from estranged husband Joe Jonas last month.
The two have hung out in New York City in recent weeks, including in private at Swift's home, a source exclusively told The Messenger last week.
Their blossoming friendship is particularly noteworthy because Swift and Jonas previously dated in 2008.
Turner and Jonas' split was announced earlier this month after the latter filed for divorce in Miami Dade County, Fla.
Jonas' attorney said their marriage is "irretrievably broken," and although their two children have been residing with Jonas, "it is in the best interests of the minor children that the parties have shared parental responsibility." A source previously told The Messenger that the former couple separated in August.
Swift often checks up on Turner, texting her to "make sure she is doing okay," according to The Messenger's source. The pop star is all-in on "female empowerment," the source added, and Turner has been extremely appreciative of her support.

"They laugh a lot when they are together and have a fun bond," the source said.
Swift and Turner were not the only celebrities in attendance at MetLife Stadium Sunday night. Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Sabrina Carpenter, Jeremy Strong, Paul Rudd and director Shawn Levy were also in the crowd.
Ticket sales quickly skyrocketed for the Jets-Chiefs game after Swift made an appearance last weekend at the Chiefs' game against the Chicago Bears. The Messenger was the first to break the news that the pop star has been hanging out with the NFL tight end.
While Kelce confirmed that he hung out with Swift last weekend — the two were pictured cozying up to one another an an exclusive after party — he also told fans that he would no longer address his relationship with the singer.
"I'm enjoying life and I sure as hell enjoyed this weekend," he told his brother Jason Kelce on Wednesday's episode of their New Heights podcast.
"I want to respect both of our lives," he said. "Everything moving forward, I think me talking about sports will have to be where I keep it."
